I am very excited to share with you my new solo album “Groove and Reflection” later this summer. This represents the culmination of many moments in recent years. Times of happiness, joy and groove, but also times of reflection, sadness and melancholy.
I will be announcing further details as we progress, including the pieces of music that will feature. I am creating this record with you, the audience in mind and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Please follow me on twitter and like me on Facebook to ensure you keep in touch with album news and release dates.
I look forward to seeing you on the road soon.
I am going to make an effort to upload regular new free content to my YouTube channel when and wherever I can. This will take the form of free online lessons, performances, interviews and more.
So please do subscribe to my YouTube channel to keep in the loop!
I have a recital coming up in London at the Schott Recital Room on July 16th. The program will include romantic and classical works for guitar as well as a UK London premier of a contemporary work from Canada. I do hope you can make it. Please see below for further details and Facebook event page.
On the 27th I will play a one off duo concert with my colleague from the University of BC, Michael Bemmels in Vancouver, Canada. The programme will include guitar duets by Piazzolla and Sor as well as some solo stuff. Come on out if you’re in town!
I am looking forward to playing a series of concerts for the Health Arts Society in Canada this June. Health Arts is a fantastic organisation which brings high quality and professional concerts to hospitals and care homes throughout Canada. It is incredibly rewarding to play music for those who need it most.
Truly honoured and humbled to be awarded first place at the Northwest Guitar Festival Competition this weekend, held at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID. Thank you to the adjudicators (Michael Partington, Brad Ard, Timothy Bell, Michael Millham and David Feingold) and to my fellow finalists.
